Who's (in) first?

First things first. Statistically, as of this morning, the Chicago Cubs are in first place in the NL Central. This is as it should be, and a remarkable achievement considering how they started this season.

And yes, they are the feel-good sports story of the moment. That said, there is still a lot of work for them to do. But getting here isn't half bad all things considered.
