Ol' Bill clearly thinks he hasn't completely pissed on his legacy yet. And I'm sure he hasn't with some but I'm damn near regretting having ever voted for him at this point. If *he* wasn't relevant, his viper of a wife wouldn't be either. And no, she isn't a viper because she's a woman, she's a viper because she wants her party opponent assassinated.
And no, don't give me that bullshit line that she "misspoke" for the ten thousandth time. Or that she's "tired". She knows what she said and why she said it. And everyone who says she made a mistake is either a) deluded, b) shocked, c) too polite to call her insane, or d) fearful of Clinton retribution. You want Obama dead, so just go ahead and say it so we can kick you out of the party, and maybe America. You know what? You too, Bill.
It's 3 am Hillary, and your frigging invitation to the party expired at midnight. GO HOME!
But now Bill Clinton doesn't know why we don't like his wife.
Well, first Bill and Hillary, let's get to the core argument. You are behind on delegates. You are behind on superdelegates. You are $20 million in debt. You have - somehow - created a political mismash of a base including older feminists, racist Appalachians, and Puerto Ricans. I have no idea how that happened, but damn must the Republican Party be laughing right now.
You have run a campaign that Karl Rove would be proud of. You have split the Democratic Party along racial lines, and have now endorsed assassination as a means to the nomination.
But hey, don't take my word for it. I've been glad to see *some* reporters unafraid of the Clinton machine.
First, to be fair and I don't know why, her pathetic excuse of an explanation. It is false, it is flimsy on premise, it lies, it makes you want to take her and Bill to a Bush-like torture cell and beat the living shit out of them. Not because they'll tell you the truth, just so they'll just shut the hell up for five minutes and stop lying and whining.
And that's when I realize they really are Republicans. They just don't know it yet.
You want proof of this? FAUXNews trolls are already joking about assassinating Obama and laughing about it.
Their pet Geraldine Ferraro pretty much exclusively goes on FAUXNews to say that black journalists are sexist and against Hillary. And of course the conservatives eat this up.
So I'm glad this is out in the open now. I only wish people had enough guts to call the Clintons out on their racism. To call them out on their megalomania. To call them out on wishing people dead. Hell, I'm about to start accepting all the Vince Foster-type conspiracy stories now.
Anyway, back to the reporters and bloggers.
At DailyKos, a roundup of reports with the following observation, "The willingness to say such a thing in a cheap effort to sway superdelegates is disgusting."
Gothamist tracks the story and Hillary's previous comments on assassination, along with a quote from the Washington Post's Libby Copeland: "Smart candidates don't invoke the possibility of their opponents being killed. This seems so obvious it shouldn't need to be said, but apparently, it needs to be said."
The Houston Chronicle calls it like it sees it: "It's Official: Hillary Clinton is Insane". Another Chronicle entry says the following:
"When she said it, I couldn't believe it. I was shocked. Then I got mad. Really mad. Who the hell does this woman think she is? Is winning so important so as to even raise the possibility of assassination?"
If that wasn't harsh enough for you, let me rip my every-loosening PG-13 bandage off for a second and provide you this from Comments From Left Field:
"Fuck it. She's done. Eject this foul thing from our party, that is the only acceptable measure left for the Democratic establishment."This is simply disgusting. DISGUSTING! Who does this? Who literally says, 'Well, I should stay in the running because my opponent just might be assassinated, and if I dropped out before that... Where would be then, huh?'
