Random Selections: Rethugs are friggin' imbeciles

Paul Krugman remembers that he should probably try to back the Democratic nominee and accused the GOP - rightly - of fomenting divisive hate in lieu of having any sound policy stances.

Same song. Same dance. Same McCain.

A couple entries from the "They said it" collection:

TOM BROKAW: But the fact is, governor, that you have had eight years of a bush administration and a lot of Republicans in Congress for the last eight years, so why wouldn't the american people say, look they had their shot we're going to change?

TOM RIDGE: Because John Bush - because John McCain is very much his own man...

Video here.

Also....

"This election is not about issues. This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates."

- Rick Davis, McCain's campaign manager

On to Sarah Palin land.

1. She pronounces it "nookular". And they swear they aren't continuing the Age of Bush. Ha!

2. Bushites are giving her foreign policy lessons. If you haven't felt your stomach drop, re-read that sentence again. Four more wars!

3. A little sarcasm pointed AT Palin for once.

4. The Canadian media assesses and dismisses the choice of Palin,

5. More on the Palin Troopergate story.

6. And the separatist party connections. Look, if you hate America so much you want to actually split from it, you shouldn't be in charge of America. It's pretty simple.

7. Palin accuses the Democrats of attacking her family, yet can't think of one instance where this actually happened.

Onto McCain. One more look on who his ignorance of the internet IS relevant in this, you know, the 21st century.

He's also trying to dodge questions on his refusal to support birth control, though he's all pro-Viagra.

And for all his reminding us that he was once a POW, McCain is not getting the support of deployed soldiers. Obama is, at a rate of six to one. Our armed forces know who TRULY supports them.

A lot of GOP shit slinging lately has been about Obama being an "elitist". Hmm, because he went to Ivy League schools on scholarships and loans? Really? Wanting to improve yourself is American, not elitist.

Elitist is owning seven, eight, ten, whatever homes and not even knowing it. Elitist is cheating on your wife and ditching her for a strung out beer heiress and getting away with it.

Elitist is said trophy wife wearing a $300,000 outfit to the Rethug Nativist Convention and having the nerve to even insinuate the same tired, bullshit meme.

Then again, the true idiots are those that actually believe this and plan to vote for McCain.
