Fine, okay, it's a blog already!

We've outsourced our food safety.

Considering how our soldiers are getting infected and killed by Halliburton gross negligence, and our image tarnished by trigger-happy Blackwater goons, how the hell does not staffing our federal food inspectors keep us safe? The answer: it doesn't.

Private idiots have taken up the slack and are screwing up the job. No big surprise there. It seems that any time private industry takes up government work corruption flourishes and people die.

There ARE roles that the government should not be doing, but handling defense and food safety should be in the realm of those they DO do.
