For some, like me, the Age of Obama is a little underwhelming of late. Gitmo is still in operation, Cheney isn't in prison, racists can run amok speaking hate on TV and gays are second class citizens. The world still hates us and we're still spying on our own people.

That said, things are changing, and here's a big one that comes from our pals Down Under. Thanks to stem cells - yeah, "evil" stem cells - scientists there have restored sight to the blind.

Yeah, stem cells can help cure blindness.

So let the Talibangelicals go full Luddite and move into the national parks armed to the teeth. Let their ilk get sterile and die off. They aren't part of our genetic future. We can clone them and send the clones in to kill their Primes for all I care.

Thanks to our president, we can now jump back into the stem cell gene pool and see what else we can cure. Cancer? Diabetes? Alzheimers? Republicanism?
