Not the best news to come out of that campaign, but unfortunately probably really close to home.
From those servicemen I know who have served in Afghanistan a similar tale rings true. Face it, the locals have been wrapped up in war for 30 years now. They probably don't even give a damn who is occupying them anymore, much less want to lend a hand.
It is bound to affect those serving in the campaigns there. And to think there would be a plus side to serving in Iraq.
