The FBI are, at their core, police officers.
Dick Cheney is a chickenhawk too timid to wear our nation's uniform when called to do so during the draft. Seriously, damned near ALL the major GOP twits did everything they could to not serve this nation. They only pretend to do it now so they can get great corporate board perks on the side.
So, if you or I had never put on a uniform, military or police and they lied to the nation's elite police force SEVENTY TWO TIMES about how you or I outed a freaking CIA agent for God's sake, you or I would probably be immediately beaten with a rubber hose, beaten repeatedly whenever any cop had a bad day, and likely be imprisoned for life if we were lucky. We actually probably get shot as a traitor.
Dick Cheney? He's not in prison. He's free as a bird and still telling lies about a host of other shit. But he's never been punished for lying to the police. And that's beyond any level of wrong you can think of in a fair and just society, which we apparently don't live in.
