The Politics of a Potential Pandemic: From Sebelius to Smithfield :EnviroKnow

Look Kids! It’s the Paula Deen flu. The second story in this article covers something I heard yesterday on how a Smithfield Farms pig lot in Mexico may be the source of the swine flu ravaging Mexico City.

The more racist of Americans have been blaming this on Mexico. Instead, they should be blaming an American agribusiness giant if any of this is true.

As for me, I’d rather blame their “let’s cook everything in lard” spokeswoman, Paula Deen. Why? I don’t know why, but I do know that I just don’t like that lady.

Don’t Mess With Texas … Get Rid Of It : NPR

Can’t say I’m having a hard time agreeing with this commentary.

There is already a group out there called Please Secede who have an online petition up. They just want Texas out of the Union, no more, no less.

Plus, 48% of Texas Republicans WANT to secede.

I’ll say it again: LET THEM!

Nate Silver looks at how to divide Texas into five states. Three of them full of lunatics, one proudly Dem and one full of Austin citizens who would likely vote the Red out of their part of the map.

That said, let the bastards go if they want to leave so bad. Once I can hire a Force Recon unit to escort my family into that hellhole, Gabriel can visit his relatives again.
