Weigel : The Joe Wilson “You Lie” AR-15 Lower Receiver

Given their outrage over the past few days, it appears that conservatives NEVER condone violence or would trafiic in, say, making gun components that would encourage the assassination of an American president. Much less a black President.

Oops!

What you see there is a replacement magazine receiver for a M-16/AR-15 produced in South Carolina by a company so energized by nitwit Representative Joe Wilson, a Republican of course, that they went out and made semi-automatic and automatic machine guns parts.

Why? Hell, I dunno. They might be assassination loving traitors. Or just idiots.

And yes, making a gun part that makes mention of an elected representative making false accusations against the President is nothing short of a call to arms.

However, for this one moment, it is instructive to point her out as an example of what NOT to do in political discourse.

That said, her disdain of media attention while trying to grab the spotlight every time she can is transparent, pathetic, and unnecessary for the rest of us.

She may think she’s the shadow president, but folks need to stop treating her like she is.

Palin: Is still an idiot

Well, the nitwit finally said something about the Tucson shootings.

Honestly, she shouldn’t have bothered.

Six people are dead. Another fourteen wounded.

But she’s the victim.

No apology. No hint of even remotely tangential responsibility for throwing targets on people’s backs. No sign she’ll stop using threats of violence as a political tactic.

No class.

And in a nice bit of anti-Semitism, she used the term “blood libel” to describe how she thinks liberals are blaming her words and images for creating this culture of hate, fear, and death that, well, she has added to.

A quick search shows that:

Blood libel (also blood accusation) refers to a false accusation or claim that religious minorities, almost always Jews, murder children to use their blood in certain aspects of their religious rituals and holidays. Historically, these claims have-alongside those of well poisoning and host desecration-been a major theme in European persecution of Jews.

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is, of course, Jewish.

This is exactly why I am loathe to spend even a dime in the state of Aryzona. When we went through a on our last trip to Texas from Nevada, we tried to only buy gas and some quick drinks and snacks.

The place is a mass bucket of hate. I’ve been there to do projects at my old job many a time and it has gotten much more angry and vile in just a short period of time.

I’ve had to unfriend people I know who live there who have turned into angry bigots and use a twisted form of Christianity to justify it. The culture of the place is apparently built to make hate a viable source of life, like oxygen.

They keep making heroes out of people dedicated to humiliating others, to making skin color a crime. Jan Brewer. Joe Arpaio. Jon Kyl. That Trent Franks asshole who keeps pushing conservative talking points instead of concentrating on how his fellow legislator was the target of a terrorist attack. That quisling McCain who gave us the glory that is Sarah Palin and refused to muzzle her violent hate speech when he had a chance.

Don’t get me wrong. The Grand Canyon is beautiful. Tucson is an interesting place. Flagstaff is gorgeous. Payson is a great place to relax.

Snowball is, however, full of assholes.

And apparently, so is much of the rest of the place.
