What to know after Israeli strike kills World Central Kitchen workers in Gaza
It shouldn’t take the deaths of some aid workers to stop what is going on in Gaza, but that’s kind of where I guess we might be at.
The difference between folks who have a terrorist group hiding in their midst, and some foreigners on the ground trying to feed them, is that the aid group has José Andrés, who some world leaders actually listen to.
Once again, it shouldn’t matter, but it does. Hopefully he can lean in hard and get done what months of diplomats have not been able to.
Yes, Israel needs their people back, and to get the killers and kidnappers who started this. But wholesale attacks on anyone in a geographic area ain’t gonna get it done. Everyone knows that. This is just brutality for brutality’s sake.
Kwik Trip discontinuing beloved bagged milk this spring
Admittedly, one of the weirdest things I noticed upon moving here was the bagged milk at the gas stations. I got used to it. Never used it, but got used to it.
But now it is going away. Time marches on.

A lot of places in America have lost their local news. Indeed, due to conservative talk radio and increasingly violent “news” stations, they do not have a firm grasp on reality, much less their community.
Marketplace covered this problem, highlighting a few locations where news is still local, and locally controlled. A drop in the bucket, but at least some folks are still trying.
