At least MPR got off its knees from kissing Trump’s ass (they call him “feisty”) long enough to report threats to our neighbors.
It won’t last but here ya go.

Jan. 6 defendants celebrate Trump’s win and anticipate pardons
The rapist will be back in charge and his terrorists will go free.
What Is BGP, and Why Does the Internet Depend on It?
Given we are probably about to see our internet access be, um, questionable in the near future, here’s some background on Border Gateway Protocol.
Yeah, we’re gonna be one of *those* countries now.
Kyle MacLachlan Leads the Return of Arby’s Potato Cakes
They are gone now, and I only managed to get one order but for a moment in time I had potato cakes again.
Snap Judgement: The Black Wind
Heard this story driving home from the Cities awhile back and it stuck with me. What a wild school trip.
Worst I ever did was walk into the path of a presidential motorcade and get followed by a Blazer for a few hours after we accidentally fooled Secret Service (a habit I continued for a few decades unfortunately), but I didn’t *know* Reagan was in Chicago that day.
Mike Lindell’s New MyPillow Price Sparks ‘Nazi’ Claims
I mean, I guess we’ve normalized Nazis in this country but here’s Mike Lindell selling pillows for $14.88. Sheesh.

What Republicans Are Planning for Our Kids
Just in case you weren’t sure what’s about to happen in this country, here’s a couple of previews.
African-American students are getting this shit texted to them:

And women are being reminded of what conservatives think of them and their opinions.

As a reminder, eggs aren’t gonna get cheaper and gas prices are a market thing. You made this country worse just to hurt people. You will be reminded of that to your dying day.
John Leguizamo went into ‘super sleuth dad’ mode to help his son learn Latino history
Leguizamo is touching base with Latino history again. Got to see his stage show the last time out and it was totally worth it.
You can catch this iteration on PBS. Best watch it before the fascists kill the website, if not the network entirely.
The power and prescience of Octavia Butler’s ‘Parable of the Sower’
After this week, more relevant than ever. She even got the years mostly right it seems.
Well, it was a good ride I guess

“You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you!” – Colonel Geoge Taylor, “Planet of the Apes”
Oh, I know. The sun comes up, the globe still spins.
I mean, I *am* a pessimist. I generally see the worst in things though my wife and son have helped with that.
But we’ve got a rapist felon heading back to the presidency and – if nothing shady happened – millions of folks put him there because this country just CANNOT fathom the concept of a female as president.
That’s it.
No policy arguments (there are none), no economic angle (Republicans ALWAYS fuck up the economy and yet always seem to get a pass on that). Ethics? Morals? Religion? The guy likely raped a 13 year old girl. You really want to go there Christians?
Nah, I just feel bad for the kids. My kid.
We collectively fucked their futures over in so many ways. And hell, their present to boot. A few will actually die from this, or be violently abused and harmed in ways we haven’t even thought of yet.
They deserve better. All of them. Instead they have us.
