Drug stores are stocking up, preparing for the manufactured recession Trump caused.
I have also noticed shelves getting a bit thin in the early days. Stock up yourselves folks. It might be a wild ride this year.
Incidentally, I was in for an outpatient visit to the clinic a couple weeks ago. They recommended I get a Covid booster as long as I was already there. I got the booster. Maybe they knew Trump & Co. was going to restrict access to them.
So the Bushes did do something right.
A case in point to my last post, American carmakers seem to be getting back on their feet. Part of it is finally learning the lessons they should have learned during the 1970s and 1980s. Another part of it is workers settling for half the old pay and yet another of just overall doing things better.
I totally understand taking what you can get to keep a job, but this has been going on for years. At some point – and let’s not remember Henry Ford was smart enough to realize this – you have to pay people enough to actually buy the stuff they are making.
And seriously, shouldn’t this country be *at least* as smart as Henry Ford?
We are sliding into our fourth year of what still feels like a recession and people are strangely surprised that we are holding onto our old cars.
The amount of things people refuse to realize puzzles me. Are folks really that dumb or just that capable of self deception?
