I could honestly just post John Oliver clips and fill this blog with higher quality content than I usually deliver. This one, however, is both timely and necessary.

All work restrictions would be lifted on 16- and 17-year-olds in Florida under new bill
Florida, since working hard to deport those durned immigrant workers that support their economy, now need a new workforce to, um, support their economy.
And they found them! It is a bunch of teenagers. If you are 16, welcome to the workforce! If you are 14 and homeschooled? Welcome to the workforce!
I had jobs as a kid. It was kind of necessary for me, but it was part time work, and more or less my choice if I wanted gas money to run off to Chicago on the occasional weekend.
This seems different. Like 18th century different.
As always, Fuck the South.
Variety of Ojibwe-translated children’s books are headed to immersion classrooms
One of the enjoyable things about living up here is that, on occasion, we try to respect the cultures of those who live here…and those who have been here a long time.
It isn’t perfect, of course. We’ve got our share of red-hatted racists like everywhere else. We just try not to put them in positions of power. Even St. Cloud is getting better at that. Kind of.

For safety.
Yikes!

I mean, at some level they hate everyone. Even themselves. But, yeah, going after kids should be a deal breaker. But way too many Republicans are absolutely fine with this behavior.
Here is more of a breakdown of the worst voices from that side. One has already been taken off air. Which ain’t much but at least someone is having a bad day.
Chick-fil-A summer camp charging kids $35 to perform work tasks draws criticism
So…Bigot Chicken has a child labor camp program. In Louisiana. Soon to be in a bunch of other red states too I am sure.
I wonder if they teach them how to hate too, or is that just assumed since the kids’ parents are fine with their five years old messing with hot oil at a goddamned Chick-fil-A?
Why Schools Serve Lunch With Milk, Not Water
Just so you know, Here’s why we all got those little milk containers handed to us like they were the first taste of crack.
How to Talk to Your Kid About Being Multiracial
To my knowledge – and I hope I am right – this hasn’t been too huge of a thing for Gabriel. Still, it isn’t easy, particularly in the rest of this country, so it is important to keep in mind.

Not exactly the right season for these games, but still a good page to refer to come spring.
Then again, we still don’t have much snow and it is unseasonably warm.
