I have been to at least one of these, probably too young to remember a couple of others but they do look familiar.

CBS Sunday Morning: Sauerkraut, the tangy condiment that’s a crowd-pleaser
CBS Sunday Morning: Korean fried chicken: The other KFC
I haven’t been posting a lot in general, but have also been missing CBS Sunday Morning stories. Frankly, since they’ve been taken over by fascists, I find it hard to support it but the reporters are still doing good and entertaining work. And honestly, this whole damn country has apparently knuckled under to racist pedophiles…every damn institution who should be fighting hard…isn’t.

Campbell Soup executive called its products food for “poor people,” lawsuit claims
I am not sure anyone in corporate America isn’t a piece of shit. Maybe heads of smaller organizations and folks who work on the ground and have to interact with “real” people but we, just in the last week, have seen NPR, Nike, Target (again!), the St. Paul police department, and a host of other outfits either bending the knee or outright rooting and financing fascists and racists, if not being the shock troops for them.
Anyways, the main story here is about Campbell Soup hiring a guy who is an outright racist class war bigot. I’d be surprised, but, yeah, that tracks.

Actually, it is a cool bit of detective work.
No, Orzo Isn’t Rice. So What Is It Exactly?
More food news from my too-big tab collection. This one is about orzo. Coincidentally, Trader Joe’s makes a rice and orzo mix that’s a pretty good side if you want to lean into testing it.
How Spam Became a Staple of Asian Cuisine
One morning we were having breakfast at the Four Queens in Vegas. Mixed work team led by a Midwestern lady with apparently a cushy upbringing, a Korean guy, a couple Filipinos and some other folks. Most of us got Spam. None of us got it the same way. Project Manager made fun of us, but we knew what we were doing.
Spam: if you cook it right, it goes with damn near anything.
And it is basically global. I mean, except for places they don’t do pork, understand?
