Every time I used to get sent up to Minnesota, some restaurant was trying to push it's wild rice soup on me. Basically, one of the things I tie to the Upper Midwest is wild rice soup.
So it was a shame this morning to hear that "progress" is killing off the wild rice.
I'm not sure what has brought this all about but apparently you can now buy 40 proof chocolate milk as well as 30 proof whipped cream.
I mean, it isn't like we don't have enough alcoholic beverages out there already that we've got to also load the dairy aisle with them too.

We are starting to get a lot of food trucks here in Vegas, much like there are in a lot of West Coast cities. Marketplace did a story on the LA scene Friday. It comes with a gallery, including people's picks of trucks in their towns.
One of the ones I want to hit here in town before too long is FukuBurger.
