Being relatively new here (I think we have like 16 more years until we are considered locals) it is interesting to learn local history.

Lately I have read a whole lot of things I thought I knew much of. Turns out, there is always more to the story.

Secession is the new, old thing and not just for the usual suspects.

The older I get, the more I enjoy finding out about those who didn’t get into the history books. They seem to have the better stories.

Looking back at a time we’d should hope we aren’t crazy enough to revisit except in history books.

More on JFK as the 50th anniversary of his assassination comes to an end. I honestly am not sure we learned a whole lot as a nation but it is good to take time to remember those who had hope in us that we don’t normally have.
