The more we all collectively talk about it, the more I realize how many films Swayze did and what a variety of roles he had.

I know all the talking heads focus on Dirty Dancing or Ghost, but he really covered a lot of different genres. And, you know, I really can’t remember a time anyone ever spoke ill of the guy. That’s not a bad legacy to leave.

Just wow.

This guy moved his entire family – and his custom car – from England to Australia just to open a Mad Max museum. I mean, The Road Warrior is one of my favorite flicks but…damn!

Good luck to him. And kudos to his wife for allowing him to dream like this. Hope his kids are having fun with it.

Overall, not a bad list, even though there’s a bit too much of the Grindhouse flicks involved (not that I would ever vote against Rosario Dawson).

Another fine Miyazaki movie. I can’t wait to see this.

I read this awhile back but still find it a fun catch-up to the Goonies’ cast after all these years.

You know, Trading Places was on yesterday and it is nice to know that I kind of had it right on how the Dukes were screwed over by Winthorpe and Valentine.

That said, in the club, I swear the two busts are of Bill Murray and possibly John Belushi. That said, I can’t verify this anywhere.

I thought this was an interesting and relevant link, seeing as I’ve been doodling in a list of stuff to show Gabriel as he grows up.

As most folks know, certain themes permeate all sci-fi, westerns, fantasy movies and so on. The folks at the Star Wars site are just being honest about some of the Westerns that are inspirations for the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
