I have been following Ben Percy’s work for awhile, even got to meet him at a book release (and got some Wolverine issues signed). Seems like a cool cat.
Now he’s working on a thing with Stephen King himself and it is using regional resources to put it into play.
Yes, I have already subscribed…even got one for my brother (shh, don’t tell him).

Here comes Krampus: How the half-goat, half-demon became a cultural phenomenon
Part of our winter fun is chasing the Minnesota Krampus group around the Cities. Little did we know that it is becoming more and more of a seasonal thing elsewhere too.
Granted, I am not sure I can make a 12-foot skeleton into a Krampus, plant him on the roof and have him whipping elves in the yard just yet…but maybe?

Meet the man keeping hope, and 70-year-old pinball machines, alive
I appreciate just about anyone with the tools, experience, and interest in keeping old tech alive for future generations. The fact that this gentleman dabbles in pinball just makes it cooler.
Dallas Goldtooth on Resilience and Representation
I love this guy. He seems to appreciate the breaks he has received and what it would take for others to get the same down the line.
Dan Gunderson, longtime MPR journalist and master Minnesota storyteller, retires
It has been a month since I heard about his retirement but I wanted to make note of how great it has been to learn about this state from his reporting. Damn shame but great he is able to move on.
Charlie Kirk tributes run contrary to sports’ uniting power
This is almost refreshing given that almost all of the NFL and a lot of other sports teams have seen fit to honor a bigot and a racist.
‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ turns 30
The only good party about Kevin Sorbo’s Hercules show was that it gave us Xena.
‘Grave concern’ at Minnesota border as more Canadians stay home
This has been an abundant week of chickens coming home to roost stories.
First, this one about Minnesota border towns trying to take the hit from losing up to the 30% percent of their former Canadian traffic because they helped elect a racist megalomaniac. Granted, since they are protected by the rest of us, their electoral college votes didn’t do it, but you know damn good and well who they pulled the lever for.
In Alabama they are facing a combination of bad growing conditions and tariff/immigration trouble. I see videos of farmers in Alabama and Nebraska literally crying in public meetings hoping someone will help them from THE VERY CONDITIONS THEY VOTED TO CREATE! Foreign contracts are cancelled, tariffs are killing their supply of fertilizers and parts. Nah, suck it up. You wanted others to hurt, now share in it.
Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan steps out on her own in Senate race
Can’t wait to vote for Flanagan. She’s good people. That said, I wish Tina Smith was staying to fight and that Klobuchar was taking her “let’s play ball with Rafi Cruz” show away from the Senate.
Why does the Maga elite love conspicuous cosmetic surgery?

There are few things more bizarre than the physical transformation of MAGAts into filler-filled fuckfaces that you see all the time now.
It is a waste of money and resources and, well, it is just plain ugly.
My thoughts? It might be necessary since they are all Devil’s Advocate demons now.
