Along The Grand Trunk Road : NPR
This was a pretty good series based on mostly rural India and Pakistan and the young folks who live there.
Even for having conservative weasel Steve Inskeep involved, the stories were pretty much free of bias and inanity.
This is the kind of stuff NPR excels at and I hope they keep at it.
Republicans’ new Web site not exactly what they hoped it would be
Republicans shouldn’t be allowed on the internet. Don’t believe me? Here is my latest example. Seriously, every time these clowns roll out a new internet initiative, it fails stupendously.
This just goes along with other things conservatives should be kept from. Like bombs, children, science, education, etc.
Chicago Cubs’ Owner Wants To Reverse History : NPR
It is nice to see that there is a face behind the Cub’s ownership these days. I wish Mr. Ricketts all the best with his team. After all those years of Tribune ownership, it felt more like a business than a labor of love from the top. Let’s hope that changes for the long term.
Now, if we can just get to playing above .500 ball, I’d be REALLY happy.
