Superintendent gets restraining order against dad who pushed him off stage so he couldn’t shake daughter’s hand

Baraboo, WI had another racist incident again. Some buckra parent decided to rush the stage at his daughter’s graduation and shove the black superintendent out of the way before he could shake said daughter’s hand.

Yep, he interrupted his daughter’s ceremony to ensure her lily white skin didn’t touch a black man.

I *KNOW* who he’s voting for this year. And he WILL be voting because he’s not being charged with felony assault like he should be.

But he at least has (probably) been fired.

Louisiana court says mostly white enclave in Baton Rouge may secede and form its own city

White supremacy always exists to keep resources away from the folks who don’t fit their criteria. Indeed, if someone isn’t getting hurt by their actions, are they really even doing it right?

In what is now a prosperous suburb of Baton Rouge, the racists are proud of their new city, and are striving to separate themselves from the community school system. Separate and unequal.

But it isn’t just the South. Here in Minnesota, folks trying to build a BIPOC nature center and running into resistance from white neighbors worried about “noise” and disrupting their “way of life”. You know, because every nature center I have ever been too has been as insane as Burning Man, right?

Code words and outright blatant separatism when allowed.

Missouri joins other red states in trying to stamp out ranked choice voting

“They hate our freedom.”

Sure, that’s a Bush the Lesser quote, but even he has to look around at his old party today and wonder just why the hell they hate the concept of improving democracy so much.

Sure, he only won office because the Supreme Court put it’s thumb on the scale, but he seemed to have genuinely wanted to win legitimately at one point.

Can’t say that about the miscreants in the GOP these days.

Hinckley-Finlayson district wrong to bar Ojibwe song at graduation ceremony

So…you can likely invite a preacher to most school functions.

You can have the Pledge of Allegiance, which has included religious reference since the 1950s to start the school day or at most events. I mean, *I* don’t include it – I was raised right – but the indoctrination is in there for the past few generations.

But don’t you dare include a native ceremony into a graduating class celebration that is 1/3rd native.
