Yeah, right.

Why the White South Is Still in Denial About Slavery | Tea Party and the Right | AlterNet
Seriously? F the South.
I have lived in Texas, worked in almost every southern state. They fly a flag celebrating treason, still call elderly black men “boy” and have taken a serious look at treating (mostly) undocumented brown folks into either felons or slave labor. Or both. And most of the latter has happened in earnest just this year in states like Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina.
So, yeah, this article speaks to that syndrome. That sickness. That unspoken sin carried by anyone who still believes in racial hatred or just quietly lets in hang like an evil fog just outside their front doors.
Zakaria: Don’t fear political Islam – yet – Global Public Square – CNN.com Blogs
Fareed Zakaria points out that you shouldn’t build walls against folks who haven’t decided whether you are the enemy or not.
Political Islam is no more anti-democratic than political Christianity in the US. Hell, it may even be less so.
Give it time. Read the tea leaves. Judge results instead of reactionary editorials.
Gay community apologizes to Amy Koch for ruining her marriage – Minneapolis News – The Blotter
Hypocrisy is a bitch.
The state GOP has lost their senate leader. Turns out she has a problem keeping her marriage vows and was screwing one of her staff members.
Ironically, she is one of those staunch defenders of “traditional marriage” that are trying to alter the Minnesota state constitution to only permit marriages such as hers. No, not unfaithful, loveless, and false, but between a man and a woman only.
So, the gay community did they should in the marketplace of bigoted, right wing sociopaths: they apologized.
You know, because anyone who believes that gays should marry is surely in favor of destroying any other kind of marriage. And certainly Senator Amy Koch would never have allowed herself to make the monster with two backs with anyone other than her wedded husband if it weren’t for those darn gays she hates so much.
Right?
For One Ala. Farmer, Workers Are Still Scarce : NPR
Individually, I might feel bad for some of Alabama’s farmers. Not all of them got on board with the “let’s vilify brown people” program. All in all though, I am glad to see their economy suffer. If you reap hatred, go ahead and sow it by yourselves, you bastards.
Vice President: This is what a real opportunity society looks like | The Des Moines Register | DesMoinesRegister.com
This is what pisses off Republicans like Mitt Romney. Some Americans want to stand up for opportunity. Others want folks to let them grab all the gold they can without responsibility.
I know I give a damn about hope more than greed. How about you?
Daily Kos: Mitt Romney: Joe Biden’s vision of dignity and opportunity is ‘a fantasyland’
Mitt Romney hates the American Dream and democracy. Don’t believe me? Read this.
And to think he’s the “sane” GOP choice these days.
The Great Republican Crackup: How Angry, White, Southern Men Took Over the GOP and Made Our Government Into a War Zone | Tea Party and the Right | AlterNet
In short, everything you already suspected about the most rabid members of the GOP, but with some trendy that shows you you far from reality those particular goons are.
