Most people know that I have little use for golf. I think courses are a waste of property and help create an environment of smug privilege.
Now, I also don’t have a whole lot to say about Hugo Chavez. I admire his goals but really think being a thug is absolutely the wrong way to go about it. That said, I kinda like his plans to take over Venezuela’s golf courses and turn them into public parks.
Just to add fuel to the fire for doing something similar here, the Secret Service is investigating an incident at a Massachusetts golf course where a swastika was carved next to the President’s name, presumably by a golf cleat. Here’s a local report on the event.
And this is in supposedly liberal Massachusetts. We already know how the traitors down South feel.
Wow, at least some people are noticing that the GOP is motivated by racial hatred, moral bankruptcy and deranged lunacy.
An aside, and hopefully not a horrifically offensive one. Does anyone know the Jewish equivalent of Uncle Tom? Because if anyone qualifies for that role in this situation, Eric Cantor absolutely does.
His silence on this topic speaks volumes about how big of a sellout he is.

So you Teabagging Wingnuts keep up the good work cheering our Olympic Fail and rooting for the Statue of Liberty to fall over and crush a 4th of July field trip of blind apple-pie-baking orphans with Bald Eagle Leukemia; the rest of the world thinks we’re the tits, if only because we’re free enough to allow pig-ignorant fascist suck-merchants like Limbaugh to speak in public without an electrified genital cuff wired to a Whack-A-Mole.
Seriously, Roger Ebert makes a lot of sense when he wades into the political pool and his teabagger analysis does him credit.
How much of the anti-Obama outrage is racist? Some is. Many of these angry people (I believe, but cannot prove) are made deeply unhappy by the reality of an African-American in the White House. Let’s not pretend otherwise. Perform this mind experiment. If Obama had declared war in Iraq and was caught lying about weapons of mass destruction, what would the right have had to say?
Racism plays a role, but conspiracy theories themselves have an addictive quality. They appeal to a personality type. Many of those who take nourishment from them have, I suspect, a bitter resentment against authority. They don’t want anyone telling them what to do. They’re defiant. Some of them may have been the victims of child abuse. Anyone who is in power is lying to them for evil motives. Nothing they learn from the mainstream media can be trusted. Some people may think they’re so smart — but these conspiracy insiders know the real story. They learn it from each other, they embellish it, they pass it around, they “document” it with invented connections, they bond among themselves, and they live in a closed system that seems to validate them.
They lack common sense. Their conspiracy theories cannot tolerate it. Most reasonable people, when they heard Obama wanted it kill their grandmother, simply smiled, because — well, because they knew he didn’t. But the conspiracy people Know Better. That’s the whole point. That’s where the fun comes in. They have a peculiar intensity in their circular reasoning. They cite facts that are not facts, supported by authorities who are not authorities. As my grandmother freely said of perhaps too many people, “They don’t have the sense God gave them.”
It is kind of amusing to watch these Birther Traitors eat themselves as their arguments get crazier every day.

As the title descibes, an article on the racism pervasive in the Republican Party.
Yes, I know there are plenty of Republicans who aren’t racist, and who aren’t Talibangelical End Times fanatics, and who don’t beat their wives and so on. That said, those folks sure the hell aren’t doing anything to silence the angry, violent, and seditious voices that are taking over their party.
Guilt by association is still a crime if you aren’t doing anything to improve matters.
Just a reminder that the conservatives have spoken hate and fear about an American President before. Then JFK died and they were shocked! that anyone would even try to blame them for inspiring assassination.
