Whitten Inn discrimination lawsuit settled for $87K
In the process of reconstructing the old blog, I ran into this case from 2009.
The EEOC had a case against this racist that didn’t get settled UNTIL LAST YEAR.
Just like that racist criminal running for president, justice can take a very, very long time – if it happens at all. And the perps just laugh all the way to the bank as you wait for the system to recognize the flaws in the system. It never fixes them, but sometimes it recognizes harm has occurred.
Gov. Abbott pardons Daniel Perry for 2020 fatal Black Lives Matter protest shooting after recommendation from pardons board
Just so we are clear: lynching is still legal in Texas.
What happened to Utah women’s basketball team was horrible and also typically American | USA Today
Someone thought it would be great to send young black women from Utah to one of the most racist parts of the US, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They were followed and harassed by the locals.
Why? Because they were encouraged to. By their community, by their governor, by the tin god they want back as president.
Because they have been told they are right to do so by dozens of voices on their radio and TV screens.
But it isn’t just them. Sure, that part of the country is full of skinheads and retired LAPD goons. They are certainly an outlier. But they aren’t alone. It would really be nice if we finally started trying to fix that particular problem.
U.S. Army restores honor to Black soldiers hanged in Jim Crow-era South
Part of uncovering and addressing the sins of the past is to learn never to do it again. Which is what folks who don’t want to look at the darkness refuse to get.
In this case, the Army is trying.
The Zinn project has covered this…of course.
Fox News Star: Black People Will Vote for Trump Because ‘They Love Sneakers’
Where do you even start with this level of casual racism?
I mean, even the former GOP chair has some thoughts.
Snoop Dogg and Master P sue Walmart and Post for trying to sabotage their cereal
First off, this is pretty good stuff.
Secondly, I am completely sure Walmart is screwing over a small company at the behest of a large supplier. I mean, even at our local Cub, we have to go to the other side of the store to find the stuff. At an end cap. with the discount stuff, facing the wall.
But at least they aren’t overcharging like I have read happens at some stores. I mean, the stuff is good, but not at $10 a box.
So why? Because the makers are “gangster rappers”? Or black?
Stolen Jackie Robinson statue found burned in trash can
Is Kansas the South? Not technically, but things like this sure make it look like it wants to be.

This problem is more widespread than you think, and more relevant than you’d like to believe.
Shootings spotlight ‘alarming’ jump in violence against rural Minnesota officers
So, this story ran today and kept getting referred back to all day.
Thing is, it pisses me off.
Sure, no one should be shot while on the job. That’s a given. And no, the story does not gloss over the fact that there is no trend, just a statistical anomaly for the year. It stinks, it shouldn’t be happening.
All said, you know what else shouldn’t be said? An executive director for a sheriff’s association is quoted in the story that basically this is all Black Lives Matters fault.
No, really.
In a story about police being shot in rural communities, he wants to blame the folks living in the big city.
They can’t hide it. Ever.
The whole of the story is that we have a subset of the population in rural communities that think it is fine to pop a cop these days. But the police won’t blame the folks in the Oaf Keepers with them. Or the Klan. Or their white supremacist church. Nah, go blame the Other. As usual.
