I was going to go in another vein with one of these stories but they keep cropping up.

So, here goes.

Conservatives bitch and moan about how the “liberals are brainwashing our children” and how education teaches kids to think and care for others and the environment. You know, stuff like where things are, not everyone brown needs bombed, science and condoms exist: use them, and so on. I’ve spent some time highlighting the lies passing as history in a Texas history book coming to a school near you.

But there are other problems with having conservatives involved in education.

In San Antonio, teachers apparently feel comfortable in bashing Mexicans to the faces of their Latino students. Said teacher was told to take a week off and is already back in class.

In Alabama, a teacher used to concept of assassinating President Obama as a means to teaching parallel lines and angles. You know, just in case some hillbilly teen might want to take a shot at our nation’s leader. Once again, the teacher wasn’t fired, and the Secret Service decided not to make an example of them. Again. Can we at least put ONE of these assassination lovers behind bars?

And, just for kicks, in Florida, two teachers are accused of dousing their atheist co-worker in holy water in the hopes of converting them.

Apparently that’s the compassionate thing to so in the Sunshine State.

Jerks.

Look above. There’s another gay-bashing conservative. He hates gays. Can’t stand ’em. Hell, he helped create the bigoted Focus on the Family hate mob with Jim Dobson.

So why is he taking European vacations with a male escort he picked up on RentBoy.com?

Hmm, I don’t think you hire an escort to just “push your luggage around”. Just saying.

Hypocrites. But he’s a “good family man” and hate-spewing “Christian” so it’s okay. Right?

After coming into office as governor of Virginia, he’s stripped rights from his citizens, attempted to return to Jim Crow era laws and officially celebrated treason, among other things. With all that hate and bigotry on his menu, what was missing? Oh yeah, conservative Hate Jesus.

And there ya go.

Even our neighbors to the north wonder why we refuse to call white people who want to kill Americans terrorists.

Hell, that’s been my problem with our nation all along. These Hutaree idiots are the double dip too. It’s apparently okay to brand EVERY Muslim a terrorist because of some raving religious lunatics, but you can’t say that about Christians. Even ones who want to blow up a funeral procession of law enforcement types.

Hypocrites.

Find me a church that preaches this, doesn’t tell me my dog is going to hell for being microchipped, backs a political party that is fine with chasing underage boys and cheating on spouses – much less bombing brown people and other such crimes – and MAYBE I’d be fine with exposing my kid to it.

Otherwise, I’m going to teach my son to just be a good and respectful person and leave the crazies outside my home.

That said, we have been to Utah and like a lot of the places we’ve been and the people there.

As for living there? Umm, not so sure about that, particularly after reading this article.

Onward Christian (bigoted, racist, anti-American) Soldiers!

So far, nine “Christian” militia members have been charged with sedition. More on their activites, including videos advocating armed revolt.

NPR is covering the story, complete with pro-militia commenters. You know, “violence = free speech” and other insane conservative BS. (Want any proof NPR has been taken over by the lunatic right? Read this crap.)
