If some Utah conservathugs have their way, women can be charged with murder for having a miscarriage.
Women, leave that conservative repressive state as fast as you can.

“Compassionate conservatives” once again show their true cold-hearted stripes. Misery is what they believe anyone who doesn’t have money deserve.
Their Jesus apparently ate some loaves and fishes in front of those who came to listen to him instead of sharing with his community.
Equality makes the best societies, not the relentless and cutthroat pursuit of wealth.
You know, this is something Christians should automatically know. That is, if they actually read their bibles instead of beating people over the head with them.
Beck encourages his angry mob followers to quit churches who teach social justice.
So…just to be clear: if your pastor or priest is exhorting you to act Christ-like, Glenn Beck wants you to leave the congregation. If your pastor is screaming at you to hate people who don’t look or think like you, to encourage you to pray for the President’s death, and to carry guns to church and vote straight ticket Rethug, then he’s apparently the “right” kind of “Christian”.
These people are just plain odious.
Not so much the story, though that’s entertaining. What is hilarious is that people are taking this story seriously. Yes, it’s satire. It is made up.
The same folks pissed that they were duped should really be asking themselves how they believed this. Is it so well written that they were hoodwinked? I mean, I like the article but no.
The real answer is that Pat Robertson is such a reprehensible shitheel that you can’t help but believe he uttered things like:
“If I had to guess, I’d say it must have to do with Chile’s persecution and attempted prosecution of their great former leader, and a personal hero of mine, Augusto Pinochet – who, it should be noted, had never been convicted of a crime when the Lord called him home three years ago.”
And I’m sure the Talibangelicals will create the “Christian” form of a murder fatwa for the author once they get together and rub their two collective brain cells together and gin up another bad idea.
In case you’ve forgotten, the Republican Party is jammed packed with people who want to become president and turn this nation into a hate-filled bigoted theocracy.
Remember that the next time you are at the polling booth.
Some sensible men of faith find it repulsive that the C Street House O’ Cheating Politicians has tax exempt status and want it revoked.
I agree with that of course. That said, what I really agree with is revoking the tax exempt status from every church that has given out conservative biased “voting guides” in recent elections. What I really would like to see is every church that has had a sermon on praying for Obama’s death, or an illness to take him or another Democrat out, or to hope for a “miraculous” violent overthrow/theocracy/reset the time continuum/etc. to ALSO lose their tax exempt status.
Basically, I have never heard any violence, death, or harm wished a Republican from a pulpit, but apparently the reverse is all the rage. I have heard calls for prayers for Bush, curses on Catholics, and the point that my dog is going to Hell for having a microchip in my mom’s Baptist church – which is why I’m never stepping foot back in that building, but no, I don’t see liberal religious types being so damned mean.
So, in short, OF COURSE the C Street Commitment-Breakers should lose any privilege they have to violate federal law. But for every church that has screeched their congregations to vote GOP (or otherwise if you’ve seen any proof of that) I would argue that they should pay taxes for the next 20 years. If they keep their noses clean – if they can truly be pious – then they can get it back (if society still buys their argument).
Otherwise, there should be a price for preaching politics from the pulpit. There should also be a price for preaching hate, fear, bigotry, and racism from the pulpit, but I believe that God can handle that one better than man.
A couple of my personal beefs with Rethugs are their twisting of our nation’s history as well as their insatiable need to teach our children outright lies. Here is yet another look at the rabid Talibangelical bastards trying to dumb down our nation’s textbooks.
Look, if you want to believe that Sarah Palin is a genius, the earth is only 6,000 year old and that abstinence only sex ed doesn’t lead to a rash (pun intended) of anal sex incidents, go for it. But don’t do it with my public tax dollars and don’t try to treat science as some form of archaic alchemy that doesn’t belong in a school curriculum.
Get bent, go home, go be Luddites somewhere way the hell away from the public sector. Our nation deserves better.
Also, just as some enlightenment on the thoughts of our Founding Fathers as it comes to organized religion. You know, just to add some context.
“Lighthouses are more useful than churches.” – Benjamin Franklin
“This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion it it.” – John Adams
“Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man.” – Thomas Jefferson
Everything you need to know about why I loathe a lot of conservatives as well as why I avoid religious institutions whenever I can are rolled up in this Pray for Death plan by the Talibangelical jackasses.
It isn’t enough that their hate and fear program was voted down by the American electorate. It isn’t enough that, despite their racism, a black man was voted president.
We won, they lost. They can’t accept it.
Now they turn to their Hate Jesus to kill Barack Obama. It isn’t necessarily treason to hope for someone to die, but it sure the hell is immoral. They should be stripped of their status as religious leaders and go dig a ditch somewhere.
As the creator of this poster notes, rampant homophobia (and bigotry in general) is far more dangerous to our society than any so-called “terrorist” threat conjured up by the Cheney Hate Brigades.
Honestly, if conservatives hate gays so much, they should stop using the internet, not to mention passwords, considering all the work Turing did in the field.
