The best rejection of the Talibangelical company trying to kill our soldiers by linking them with the Conservative Crusade comes from Marine Benjamin Busch. Give this a read and you’ll know what I mean.
This is what I’d like all Americans to be like. What we want all our soldiers to be like. And, more importantly, what you’d actually want our nation’s Christians to be like, instead of the angry bigoted hate-filled cretins many of them seem to be.
More related to the company trying to restart the Crusades and putting our soldier’s lives at risk.
The Aussies jumped in and want the scriptures removed, as does the Pentagon. Even the Christian Science Monitor isn’t on the side of these Talibangelical idiots.
The company has since listened and will not longer continue the practice of proselytizing at the barrel of a gun.
Frankly, their response is weak, on many levels. First, they never appreciated that what they are doing is wrong. Second, they are sending out around 100 removal kits…to fix 200,000 units shipped. Nice.
Third – and this tells you the REAL spirit of these so-called Christians – they chose Capitalism over Christ. Seriously, I’d have more respect for the bastards – not much, granted – if they stuck, well, to their guns (or gun sights as it were).
Either way, it is once again instructive to watch how Talibangelicals act as opposed to how they preach.
I already knew this but didn’t have the data to prove it, but the so-called “traditional marriage” states are full of degenerates divorcing each other at far greater percentages than the rest of the country.
So, let’s be honest, who is a greater threat to the institution of marriage: gay people who have been in relationships for decades who would like to get married and can’t OR rednecks who knock each other up and get hitched and learn to hate each other but do it because they are told they have to?
I think you already know the answer.
And I’m pretty sure the divorce map hews closely to the bottom map. Yes, it is a bit out of date since New Jersey went all Talibangelical and did not allow gay marriage like people thought. Granted, it isn’t pertinent to divorce necessarily, but if you are bigoted enough to fear gay marriage, why are you cool with first cousins procreating?

I know that you know that all press is good press, so I appreciate the shout-out. And you make God look like a big mean bully who kicks people when they are down, so I’m all over that action. But when you say that Haiti has made a pact with me, it is totally humiliating. I may be evil incarnate, but I’m no welcher. The way you put it, making a deal with me leaves folks desperate and impoverished. Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with people, they first get something here on earth — glamour, beauty, talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. One of the things (and there are many) that bugs me about religion is how sexist the whole thing is. Women are put up on a pedestal, particularly in Chrisitanity…and then left there to rot.
No female priests. Women forced to cover up in Islam. And so on. Hell, a woman tries to gain any personal achievement and historically she is killed as a witch.

They decided to ban the building of any more minarets of any new mosques in Switzerland. This isn’t some kind of parlimentarian kidnapping of democracy, this is a referendum passed by the apparently goose-stepping public itself.
Apparently, like in America, religious expression in fine for the Swiss – as long as it has a cross attached to it. I mean, I am down with religion in general these days, but more for how it is being abused by terror-loving asshats of all stripes than for the message of subservient and blinded dogma it provides. Apparently the Swiss, and all Europeans writ large apparently, are going to have a debate on their xenophobia.
Remember folks, it is YOUR job to reign in the crazy bastards using your religion to start wars, kill children, oppress others who don’t think, act, look or love like you. Whether you are responsible for al-Qaeda or Talibangelical speaking in the name of Muhammad or Jesus, stop the hatemongers in your ranks lest you be labelled as them as well.
