Where the hell was this when Gabriel was born?

Where the hell was this when Gabriel was born?

Alright, so Modern Met has led me to Yanko. Expect more posts related to stuff I find on both sites in the near future.
If these ever become reality, I’m definitely keeping a couple in the car just in case.

I was going to make a series of posts related to the cool designs I found on Yanko, but decided to just lump a bunch together in one post and post others as they interest me.
Starting off, the SoundBulb, a wireless speaker in a light bulb.

Next, the E-Note, basically a digital Post-it you can reuse.

Now here’s something I could really use. That, or less soda, probably the latter. Either way, it is a device that decontaminates soda cans.

Something we all could use, meat freshness labels that change color as the meat stays longer in the package.

For the ultimate traveller, a “third eye” that gives you everything you need to know about what you are looking at in the viewer.

And, the possible future of air travel: a huge airship-looking thing made to carry up to 1,500 passengers.

So, I’ve been on a few cruise ships and have had that moment at sea where I wondered what the hell would happen if the damn thing sprung a leak. Sure, they show you where your escape ship is and all – and yes, I was only in the Caribbean – but that somehow didn’t seem to be enough for me.
That’s why I really, really like this water distilling buoy thingy. If they had these on the ships I have been on, I’d probably had kept one in my cabin or attached to me at all times.

I’m not sure what the corporate argument is for using Domo-kun in America. Target had him last year and 7-11 right now. Either way, I like it.

I have no idea why I don’t try to create a blogroll kind of thing, but I’ll just use this list for now as a reference and add to it as necessary. I may even double post it on Wave or something since I now have an account.
I’ll linkify the list as I get around to it, just brainstorming right now.

From the ModernMet write-up:
What I Like About It: This is a hilarious design by Aaron Hogg for Tee Fury. This illustration plays off the popularity of Facebook and status updates. This is the reason you shouldn’t post everything on Facebook, especially if you are friends with your boss and most definitely if your boss is Darth Vader. The sad part about this is there are a ton of people who actually makes these types of posts on Facebook and Twitter. A few other funny details here are the Z-Harmony and Contractors Wanted ads, and the fact that the Storm Trooper is friends with R2D2.
I may be spending too much time on GeekDad but this discussion fascinates me.

I suppose you could always refer to the chart.
I’m on a list mode today and remember this article from awhile back.
GeekDad hosts a similar list.
