It is cold as hell outside and I have these paranoid tips lined up in my browser. So here are some thoughts on prepping a disaster kit.

Yeah, I’m not missing snow AT ALL!
No snow on the ground begets warmer temps which keep the snow away. Your brain probably can make that conclusion, but it is nice to have it confirmed by science.
That said, after a really warm day tomorrow we might be done for. The cold is coming back and likely the snow.
And what the hell? It IS winter. It IS Minnesota. And the farmers probably need the moisture and I like to eat.
So thanks for the reprieve. Now let’s get this over with.
Sure, it was 55 freaking degrees here in Rochester, Minnesota today, but that doesn’t mean winter isn’t coming. Some thoughts on the season, link courtesy of Tonya, an old friend I suppose I can say from high school.

Granted, I don’t have cash for any of this, but maybe by next winter I might be able to upgrade our winter gear to something on this list.
