You either pay for democracy when you have the means, or you are no patriot.
Michael Ware always came off as more than a bit smug. That said, you kind of got the impression he earned the right to look like he had been laughing Death in the face.
That may be why watching him bare his soul a bit is all the more tragic.
Hopefully he – and everyone who has seen the things he has – find the help they need and the peace they are looking for.
