This is the story of the “moral” Republican that supposedly represents Nevada in the Senate. Trust me, I have my problems with him, but Harry Reid is a decent human being.
Unlike the piece of human excrement that is John Ensign.

Just in case you weren’t clear where Republicans stand of the concepts of secession or racial superiority over others, all you need to know is that the governor of Virginia wants to spend a whole month celebrating the treason and racism that was the Confederacy.
Other Republican governors have done this in the past as well. Then again, former Virginia governors also owned slaves. Does McDonnell want to emulate them too?

Another conservative bemoans how the GOP has turned into a racist, hate-filled mob.
I am reminded, again, how many Republicans there are out there who aren’t Tea Bagger Terrorists. My father-in-law was in town this weekend and, for quite a lot of reasons, he’s the kind of Republican you want in this country. I don’t agree with much he believes in, but his voice is one our leaders should be listening to. It is the counter-balance needed to make sure government doesn’t go too far in trying to take care of our nation’s many ills.
This is not accomplished by heeding the rants of white power anarchists.
So, give the article a read, nod a few times in key passages, and hope folks like Frum, and Currey, and my father-in-law and some friends can get their shit together and fix their party. We need them too, whether – and BECAUSE – you don’t agree with them on all things. You grow as a person (and a nation) while debating other interesting and educated people. Yelling with bigoted douchebags just won’t do the job.
Some fantastic phone concepts. I’ve been meaning to post something about the first one for quite some time and keep forgetting to.
Here are some of my favorite designs:

Wow. It’s fun to see progress happen before your very eyes. Here is a great example.

While most of the country has been losing it’s head for one reason or another over the past couple years (and longer), Obama has kept his cool and remained the same guy with the same agenda he promised us whether or not that image has been the one the media presents.
Keep it up Mr. President.
If we ever get to close on a home of our own (something that apparently is going to elude us here in Vegas), I really want to do something like this.
