Sean Hannity, Tom DeLay and Bill O’Reilly, who are all busily ripping the current president an array of new holes, actively accused the left of undermining the troops because we were criticizing the commander-in-chief during wartime. Ah yes. They abandoned that one faster than Newt Gingrich abandons sick wives, didn’t they?

Even more to the point is this nugget of counterfactual argument:

In her new role as buck-raker extraordinaire, the darling of wingnut conservatives is pocketing a fat wad of cash from a China-based financial brokerage owned by a French banking conglomerate.

So, Sarah Palin decides it’s okay to fly to a Communist nation, take money from the French, and then attack the American President on foreign soil while making a sales pitch for Alaska.

If ANY Democrat had gone to China and bashed Bush while he was in office, they’d have been better off never coming home. Be honest.
