U.S. Army restores honor to Black soldiers hanged in Jim Crow-era South
Part of uncovering and addressing the sins of the past is to learn never to do it again. Which is what folks who don’t want to look at the darkness refuse to get.
In this case, the Army is trying.
The Zinn project has covered this…of course.
Oklahoma senator calls LGBTQ+ people “filth” while commenting on death of Nex Benedict
It hurts my heart to know that a place I lived is so full of hate.
They killed a kid, who didn’t report the attack, knowing full well no one would do anything about it.
I have seen racism in that state, but I never thought the system was gonna kill me over it. At least that was the case 20 years ago.
Certainly Oklahoma has had it rough with their public image recently. The Watchmen TV show brought back the sins of the Tulsa race massacre. Killers of the Flower Moon, both the book and movie, tells oh how jealous white folks executed natives who had the oil rights – and money – they dearly craved.
I bring these up because Oklahoma didn’t *need* to show it had hate in its heart. We already knew that. But they apparently wanted to double down. Kill a kid, then cover it up. Shame.
The science of IVF: What to know about Alabama’s ‘extrauterine children’ ruling
It used to be that conservatives found IVF to be evil, and that the children that resulted from it were not even human.
I still believe they believe that. That group of children includes my son. So, you know, when I say this hits personally, I mean it.
That said, they have now created a mythology to punish women and their families by making an embryo a child in the eyes of the law in Alabama. It is meant to muddy the waters, hurt those they do not see as people, and to exert control.
If we ran this country based on facts instead of myths, we wouldn’t be in this place. We would not have judges gleefully harming people for wanting a family.
But we do not live in such a place. The law is used to hurt. The law is used to hate.
Fox News Star: Black People Will Vote for Trump Because ‘They Love Sneakers’
Where do you even start with this level of casual racism?
I mean, even the former GOP chair has some thoughts.
Ghost guns ‘not a big issue’? Las Vegas police records say otherwise
The now-governor of Nevada lied about the prevalence of ghost guns in Vegas when he was sheriff just so he could keep the violent militia-loving voting block?
Lies over lives. Yeah, he’s a conservative all right.
Three years later, some Minnesota Republicans show sympathy toward Jan. 6 rioters
For those keeping score, the statewide GOP is siding with terrorists.
The ultimate brand experience: Insights from Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey
In trying to recover a story from the same source (which I did *not* accomplish) I found this story about fans of Stranahan’s whiskey pulling volunteer shifts at the plant. Which sounds like a lot of fun actually.
You Can Download And 3D Print These Unique Toy Transformers
Well, these just look fun. Now I just need to get that 3D printer I’ve been meaning to buy for over a decade.

Here’s how much you need to make to live in Minnesota
Apparently you gotta be rich to be poor in this state. At least $120,000 a year for a family of four. Nuts.
Imagine that math in the treason states. Sheesh.
