They cut the last bit of funding for pandemic supplies that Bush had originally ordered from Obama&#8217;s stimulus bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is no surprise that Karl Rove was at the head of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/rawstory.com\/08\/blog\/2009\/04\/27\/rove-mocked-spending-on-flu-preparedness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;let&#8217;s screw the safety of our nation&#8221; crowd<\/a>. It is only slightly more surprisingly to find Maine&#8217;s Senator Gail Collins in the same boat. Indeed, to earn her vote for the stimulus,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2009\/04\/27\/gop-stripped-flu-pandemic_n_191732.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">killing pandemic preparedness funding<\/a>&nbsp;was one of her conditions. And one she is&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/collins.senate.gov\/public\/continue.cfm?FuseAction=PressRoom.Articles&amp;ContentRecord_id=46d6e846-802a-23ad-4ccd-8f37bc42d004&amp;Region_id=&amp;Issue_id=&amp;CFId=960&amp;CFToken=38005608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">truly proud of<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2216982\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here<\/a>&nbsp;are some sensible items concerning the flu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honestly, I do not think we&#8217;ll see much dire consequences of the swine flu, but it is good to know we have a government that is trying to be prepared and trying to inform the public without starting a riot. And if it weren&#8217;t for the backstabbing Fifth Columnists, we might even be more ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, in jackass conspiracy lands, Glenn Beck thinks&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/mediamatters.org\/countyfair\/200904270012?show=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this is all made up<\/a>&nbsp;instead of a government being responsible. I kind of get his point as he&#8217;s never seen a Republican administration that isn&#8217;t playing games with people&#8217;s lives or has any ethical moral fiber to actually care for American citizens.
