This is where I cross the line

Okay, so I was at lunch today and saw a building on fire in New York after a plane ran into it.

For a second I was wondering where we were invading next. Then I got back to work and saw that it was a wayward accidental plane wreck. Unfortunate, but not terrorist oriented.

Or was it? (Condolences and apologies to the Lidle family for me using their situation for ill allegory.)

Now everyone knows that I am not, have never been, nor ever will be a Yankees fan. I had utter glee last week watching the Tigers take them out of the postseason. But let's evaluate something.

Steinbrenner has a "win at all costs" attitude. $200 million can't even get the Yanks past the first round anymore. Trades were coming down the pipe. The Mets are still playing ball and all of New York can see that.

Can you think of any other less egalitarian team in America? Or one that cries harder when it doesn't get it's way? That is the example of what is bad about modern professional sports?

Running a plane into a building? Not expressing American values? I chalk up the Yankees up as a terrorist organization.

While we're talking about anti-American terrorist sports, let us bring up NASCAR. At Talladega this past weekend there was uproar over the amount of Confederate battle flags flying over the infield.

Look, NASCAR has Southerners as fans. Lots of Southerners think the Civil War isn't over. It is there last heyday and they cling to it. Yeah, many of them are racist. Some, however, are just frigging idiots. So I say let them argue that it is not a racist symbol; that it is part of their cultural legacy.

I agree wholeheartedly with that statement.

Do you wanna know why?

Here ya go: celebrating a successionist battle flag is proof that you are a traitor. And treason is akin to terrorism and punishable by death. So yeah, let's grab all these inbred, red-state, racist pieces of crap, round them up for treason and ship their collective asses to Guantanamo to await judgement - which will be whenever we get around to it.

Take the smug, New York, utlra-rich elites and the broke, Bush-voting terror advocates and traitors and leave the rest of America to sanely discuss our differences.

It couldn't hurt.
