Random Selections: Get Real Edition

"We have to agree with Sen. Barack Obama, the only candidate who has refused to play this game. 'It's not an idea to get you through the summer,' he said. 'It's an idea to get them through an election.' His opponents no doubt hope that Mr. Obama's stand will prove to be political suicide. We think it qualifies as political courage."

- Washington Post editorial opposing the McCain/Clinton gas tax holiday.

Humorful and not-so-much, people are asking our candidates to quit focusing on BS issues and coming up with BS solutions to real problems. This idiotic gas tax holiday is one of them. I have heard that the McCain-Clinton plan will save us anywhere from $18-30 a family. Hell, even Bush is bribing us $300 a head to make us not run him out of the White House with pitchforks and torches. And, he's not even tearing up the highway funds to do it; he's just passing the buck to untold future generations. And when I can say that Bush almost did something better than someone, that's not a compliment to either party.

Next up, Bill Clinton essentially calls anyone under the age of 65 who votes for Obama an idiot. Seriously, screw these bozos..

You think Jeremiah Wright is bad? Check out this hate-filled list from McCain's "spiritual advisors".

This article asks the good question: "If Clinton can't run a campaign, can she run the White House?". I'd like someone to seriously answer that actually.

To wrap up, a humorous yet impassioned pleas to the media to stop focusing on bullshit.
