What Republicans Are Planning for Our Kids

Just in case you weren’t sure what’s about to happen in this country, here’s a couple of previews.

African-American students are getting this shit texted to them:

And women are being reminded of what conservatives think of them and their opinions.

As a reminder, eggs aren’t gonna get cheaper and gas prices are a market thing. You made this country worse just to hurt people. You will be reminded of that to your dying day.

Well, it was a good ride I guess

You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you!” – Colonel Geoge Taylor, “Planet of the Apes”

Oh, I know. The sun comes up, the globe still spins.

I mean, I *am* a pessimist. I generally see the worst in things though my wife and son have helped with that.

But we’ve got a rapist felon heading back to the presidency and – if nothing shady happened – millions of folks put him there because this country just CANNOT fathom the concept of a female as president.

That’s it.

No policy arguments (there are none), no economic angle (Republicans ALWAYS fuck up the economy and yet always seem to get a pass on that). Ethics? Morals? Religion? The guy likely raped a 13 year old girl. You really want to go there Christians?

Nah, I just feel bad for the kids. My kid.

We collectively fucked their futures over in so many ways. And hell, their present to boot. A few will actually die from this, or be violently abused and harmed in ways we haven’t even thought of yet.

They deserve better. All of them. Instead they have us.

From rodeos to radio, inside the Arizona fight against misinformation

NPR – when it isn’t airing Trump without any editorial content or clarification that he’s lying – is trying to highlight stories from swing states.

I mean, I want to wish them well, but they have been SO bad over the past decade, at least, but let’s give them this moment.

I’ll highlight some of these stories because they apparently need the encouragement to do the right thing. I gave up being a sustainer a few years ago and I don’t regret it much.

Anyway, here’s a story from Aryzona, where Spanish language radio is part of the process of getting the real story out this election year.
