So, as you may know, Florida Congressman Mark Foley resigned from the House after it was discovered he was trying to seduce teenage boys.
Oh wait, did I say this was just being discovered? No, the GOP has known about this for at least three years. Maybe even six years ago.
Is the GOP worried about kids? Are they up in arms about the violation of their twisted version of so-called "family values," particularly by one of their own? No.
And nary a peep from the Falwells, Robertsons, Bennetts, Santorums, Ashcrofts and other such ilk. No surprise to me but some of you might want to take note of that.
And in pure denial form, apparently despite being a staunch Republican, Foley is now being labelled a Democrat. Because, you know, no Republican can apparently be a known pedophile to these hypocrites. Don't believe me? The O'Reilly Factor changed Foley's party affiliation. More proof that FAUXNews is just another tool of the GOP.
And so, is it the pedophiles fault he's such a piece of crap? Hell no! Not OUR fellow Repugnantcan't says the Grand Old Pedos.
It's an election plot by the Democrats, scream some.
It's the insidious gays, scream the core conservative hatemongers. News flash. Being gay has nothing to do with being a frigging pervert pedophile who wants to bang young children. Just thought you evil pseudo-Christians might want to learn the distinction finally. Hell, even John Walsh agrees and he never came off as a progressive mind to me.
Must be a hell of a week to be a gay Republican. How far do those thirty pieces of silver spend, anyway?
The real insidious bastard in all this? Rush Limbaugh. He actually blames the kids for seducing the former Congressman to send them sexually explicit messages and sexual advances. Sick.
Runner up to Bush for not even mentioning the issue.
By the way, since Foley quit/was told to quit last week, he can't be punished by Congress. Nice move Republicans.
