The choice should be obvious

Politics by way of health news. Republicans in the Senate got their two cents in on a bill that passed that would allow Americans to import drugs from overseas. This is a good thing, right? Sure it is, except for the GOP change that ties it to the FDA ensuring the drugs would be safe. So, get this: the FDA would have to approve drugs it has no jurisdiction over. The bill will never go into action, and the GOP can keep cashing checks from their greedy pals in the pharamaceutical companies that the bill was trying to get around in the first place.

Score one for evil.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton is working with a couple pharamaceutical companies to make AIDS drugs available to poor third world folks for under a dollar a day. This would save lives and be a good PR boost for those Big Pharma members who pitch in on this.

Score one for everyone wins.

See the difference?
