Recently the water authority restricted home watering schedules. There is a lot of work on convincing people to give up grass yards. Where we live on campus, desert landscaping is increasing. Basically, even though people come to Vegas from everywhere, it is becoming apparent that, hey, we're in the middle of the frigging desert, folks.
Our local weekly mags have touched on this, and on both the quality and availability of water in the valley, both today and for the foreseeable future.
